* Surfers & Volcano Sunsets *
Our third day was packed full of adventure. We started out at Kamaole Beach as per usual and then made our way to the north shores of Maui to catch the surfers(who were hanging 10 at the time) on Kuau Beach. After watching some quality surfing, we moved on to our drive to the peak of Haleakala; Maui's big volcano(10,023ft). Although the top of the crater mirrored Mars in landscape, the temperature definitely resembled Calgary, AB a little more closely. We were lucky enough to catch the only clear day on the volcano & were rewarded with a perfect sunset on our drive back down.
